Never quit learning
Hey there. My name is Ruth. Sorry, but there is no picture. Are you questioning the dichotomy of the blog of "Breaking the Finish Line" and this title of "Never Quit Learning"? Well this spring, I am striving to finish my final two classes, to complete my Computer Science degree. This is the "Breaking the finish line" theme. I thrive on pushing myself to keep learning; hence the title "Never Quit Learning". I have a very diverse background in my work history. My orginal BS was in Civil Engineering. Directly out of school I worked for the Minnesota Department of Transportation as a Construction and Soil's Engineer. While at the DOT, I worked on my Master's in Business Administration. I found that I enjoyed business. So I left the DOT to work as the COO/CFO of a start hardware/software firm building a super computer. While working for this company I decided that too few business really understood the computer to make good business decisions. So I began taking courses in Computer Science. Unfortunately, the economy forced me back into civil engineering. I am back working for the Minnesota Department of Transportation as a Hydraulic's Engineer. I am sure that in the near future the supercomputer company will be a huge success.
